Prayer for Children
Susan Allen, Minister to Children, First Baptist Church of Statesboro
We pray today for children in our community who play baseball and for
those who watch from across the road.
We pray for those who splash with their families at Splash in the ‘boro
and those whose parents never take time to play.
We pray for those who dance in the Nutcracker and those who peer through
the windows but never get to dance.
We pray for those whose parents see that they do their homework and those
whose parents don’t care.
We pray for those who have new Easter shoes to wear and those whose shoes
have holes.
Yes Father, we pray for all of the children who have been entrusted to
us here in the ‘boro and for the day when pinwheels will only remind us
of happy, breezy days in the park.
